The difficulty is that if I want to get rid of it, there will be consequences in social arena. As in many cases in Bangladesh, socially accepted norm is kind of classification in salutation, seating etc.

Instead of salam at first smile.
Next say how are you
Finally say salam or Hi.

Title of calling

Usually apni
For close relation tumi
Call same same or lower Bhai or apa
Others Shaheb or madam
Others sir or madam or mam
Allow elders to call you tumi but not be juniors due to their higher job or money or other status.
Kaizen for this:


If seen somebody more than once in a day

Say salam or ask something or atleast nod head verbally with smile.
Kaizen>
Smile,then nod head verbally.
